Happy Easter

What a great time of year.  The flowers are in bloom, bright colors are being worn, we can wear sandals, and most importantly  we get to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ.  We had a great Easter this year.

Our first egg hunt was at my work.  The babies were sick, so they didn’t get to go.  I had to work that Saturday, so since I was here, they went ahead and got eggs and all all the prizes and gave me to take home to my babies.  They got some loot at this Easter Egg hunt.  You see the blue elephant piggy bank in the baskets.  David was in love with it.  He wanted to sleep with it.  Every night he would give it a kiss and put it on his shelf and he would want to touch it first thing every morning.  Victoria accidently broke it for him.  He was upset and a few weeks later he asked me to go to the shelf and wanted to know where it was.  So if you ever see one of this blue and white polka dot piggy banks, let me know.  He loved it so much.

We went on Saturday to Bass Pro Shop.  Not because there was a free bunny that had a very long line. I wanted to go to the outlets and we decided to go by there and see what is was like.  We had never been there and it was a pretty cool place.  Victoria picked out some items for her birthday list from Grandmommy and granddaddy.  David learned to shoot a gun and we did some petting of the animals, too.

Saturday morning, David and Victoria did their first Easter Egg Hunt.  Victoria would pick up the egg and then take it back out of the basket.  They she got the hang of it and started leaving them in her basket.  David would pick up an egg, bite it and then yell ball and off it would go flying across the yard.  Thankfully, no one got hit in the head.  David didn’t care for the bouncy house much.  Victoria liked it at first until the big kids started getting in.  David played the cake walk and won two cookies.  He shared one with his sister.  They both loved to carry their Easter basket around.

Going to see the dog

The Easter bunny came.  They got new toothbrushes and tooth paste, bath crayons, a new book and some juice.

We then went to Church.  Everyone looks do pretty in their new Easter clothes.  After Church we ate lunch at mom and dads and then the cousins had time to play.  Grandmommy and Granddaddy hid eggs for another egg hunt and gave them a gift with stickers, eggs and a really cute shirt with their name on it.  We then all went home and took afternoon naps.

I was in charge of desserts.  I got a little creative.  I couldn't get the basket handles to work right.
