First Trip to Mexico

I must warn you....there are a lot of photos.  Our first trip to Mexico was a success.  My niece Caley went with me and the babies of course.  They are great travelers.  I had 3 things that I had asked everyone to pray for and they were all prayers answered.  1.  That the flights go well.  2. That they babies will adapt to people always being around and will bond with their family. 3. That we all would stay well.  Ok...so here goes.  Just remember..I warned you...this is going to be one LONG blog.

First we had to pack.  Daddy made sure that they weren't over the weight limit for the suitcase.
We had to get up a 4 am.  Dad and Ranita took us to the airport.  The babies were good sports.  We made it thru security without a hitch.  So first order of business..Chick fil A.  Then work off the food at the airport playground.

David and Victoria were so excited to see the planes.  The were relaxed getting on the plane and then once on the plane were great.  I had David.  He was asleep, but as soon as the plane was up in the air the guy beside me had to go the the bathroom so David was awake.  I had their bags packed with toys and snacks and we didn't really need much of it.  We made it to Dallas and had to change flights.  We let the babies play in front of the windows and since they were being so good they each got and E-I-E-I-O (horse) from the gift shop.

Waiting for us in Mexico

The first morning, they let us have a low key slow morning.  Mama Juanita showed me around our house.  She said they picked the color to paint it because they thought I would like the color.  My niece lives in our house for us to take care of it.

We had nice warm showers and found a tub for the babies.  They loved their daily bath.
The babies had some time getting to know their grandparents.  The babies fed them something they never had before and they loved them.  Goldfish.

We went to town one day to get clothes for the twins 2nd Birthday party.  David got a cowboy suit with boots and hat.  Victoria got a frilly green dress.  She calls it her Tinkerbell dress.  She also got a pair of pink cowboy boots along with a Belle dress.

After a day of shopping, they decided that we might need a dose of American food, so they took us to Carl Jr's, which is our Hardee's.  We met up with more family there.  Afterwards, we toured around the city and ended the night at Church.

Ranita's parents sang and prayer for us and then the whole church came and gave the babies a birthday kiss.

After church we went to another one of the babies uncles house, so they could meet each other.

The day was here to have their birthday party.  All the family was involved.  Some came and hung balloons everywhere, tons of good food was made, they had two pinata's (bigger than D and V I might add) and favors for everyone.

Making David's pants fit.

David and Victoria decided to take a little time to celebrate with just each other

Somebody gave David like 4 sippy cups of orange soda.  He went crazy.  Just look at his eyes.

We even had a visit from the clowns with a little less clown makeup in case D and V would be scared of them

dale dale dale......

They got to open their gift from the family and they both got their America soccer uniform.  Arriba America, bajo las Chivas!!!!

As soon as David saw his uniform, he wanted to put it on.

The pictures got a little out of order.  I think the blog is on picture overload.

There are these awesome playgrounds in Mexico.  One side is play equipment for the kids and the other side is actual exercise equiptment.  This park is just around the corner from our house, so we walked to it several times.

It was the last night in Mexico.  The family had an all night party.  The babies and I made it until about 1.  We had to get up at 3:30 to get ready to head to the airport at 4.  There was a night of singing, writing letters to Ranita, eating good food, dancing and just hanging out.  Oh and me running two blocks down the street in the dark chasing David who escaped the gate.

We had a great time in Mexico with our familiy.  The babies did great on all the plane rides.  Not a sound out of them which I was thankful about.  We had some family pick us up at the airport with just enough time for the babies and I to take a bath and pack our bags and get in the car to drive all night to Ohio.
