Christmas came early

 I have been telling my husband for several months that for Christmas I wanted to get them a train table.  I was at Kids Market shopping one night and got the following picture.  He said he couldn't help it.  He just wanted them to have it.  They love it.  Now I have to rethink Christmas. :)

 



This may be the real reason they got it early.  He says he was "getting the tracks right" for D and V. 



Off to the Fair

Growing up we went to our fair every year. It was always so much fun. We decided to try out the one here this year. My niece Caley went with us and she got to try fried oreos for the first time.

Laura's getting hitched

A few weekends before Laura's wedding, we had a bacholorette party for Laura. We went to Chuy's to eat and then opened gifts back at Laura's house. My friend Shannon from Sweet Spot Confections made some cookies for me to take. I thought they turned out so cute. Then Laura's wedding weekend was here. She got married at Ozan and it was so pretty. The food was great and the weather turned out perfect. It was a wonderful wedding.

Our Yearly Visit

Every year my roommate from college comes to spend a weekend with us.  We had a great visit.  The kids have a great time playing, while Angela and I get to catch up.  We look forward to this every fall.  And...we have to end the weekend with our annual photo in front of the front door.

Camping at the Beach

We decided to take our last little trip for the year to the beach. Our friends Sergio, Laura and Ethan went with us.

Our friends had to leave early.  So we went to see the movie Airplanes.  Then we ate some Mexican food and finished off the night picking out our own pjs at the Carter's outlet.



On the way home we got to stop at Priesters Pecans.

Sign of a successful trip

We should have been home around 6:00, but there was a wreck on the interstate, so we finally got home close to 10:00 pm.  Thank goodness we stopped for ice cream.  That was our dinner for the night.  We sat in one spot on the interstate for more than 2 hours.
