So Much Fun, So Little Time

June has flown by.  The past 2 weeks have been so busy.  This blog is a long one with lots of pictures, so it isn't for the weak. :) We started off with celebrating my birthday.  Mom had the family over to celebrate.  My birthday cake request was a Banana Split Cake she used to make all the time when I was a kid.  She didn't like the idea at first, because it wasn't a cake to decorate, but I talked her into it.

I love Aunt Rhonda's new "cowgirl" hat

My brother showing his new finger.  He cut the tip off of it the night before and finished with the doctor just in time for my party.

David thinking that if he pretends to be kissing his sister he can steal the bow.

Off to the beach.  We went to Gulf Shores State Park and stayed in a camper with mom and dad.  The first part of the week our friends, Shannon and Andres came to camp and hang with us, and my Uncle Jimmy and Aunt Eveleyn came to spend time with mom and dad. The first thing we did when we got to the beach was head to Sea and Suds to eat.

The first Sunday that we were there was Father's Day.  We started off the morning with gifts for the Fathers and then off to Oyster House for Lunch.  Then Ranita, the twins, and I went for a quick trip to the outlets.  David and Victoria found their size soccer balls with Ranita's favorite soccer team Club America.  So they each got a special treat.  David had found a red solo cup that morning and he wouldn't give it up for anything. He was even carrying it with him in the stroller at the outlets. However, David was willing to give up the red cup for the soccer ball.  When the cashier tried to get the soccer ball for us to pay for it, David gave her a very mean look and stared at her until he got his ball back.  Once his ball was back in his hands, he was all smiles again.  Then back to the campsite and off to swim in the pool.

Waiting to eat at the Oyster House

First full day on the beach.  The waves were rough.  There was a red flag.  And I know that you are going to think that I am crazy, but the water was cool and the strong breeze made it a little cold when getting out of the water.  I tried to put a chair at the edge of the surf, but all of the sudden a very large wave came and crashed on the top of me and Victoria, so no more sitting at the edge of the water.

Notice Victoria's feet.  She was telling her daddy that she was done with the waves for now.

The day that Andres and Shannon got to the beach, they brought me a special surprise.  It was sooo good!  The next day we decided to try out a place to eat that we had never been to.  I must say that Ranita and I loved it.  Bahama Bob's.  It will become a standard in our beach trips now.

Just finished eating at Bahama Bob's.

While Shannon and Andres were there, we decided to go visit the pier.  We enjoyed our time on the pier.  We saw some sting rays down below.  It is neat to see all the fishermen.

It was time for the babies to eat. and it was still so windy. We decided that we were going to go to the pool instead of the beach.  We asked Andres and Shannon if they minded if we didn't go to the beach with them.  They were fine with it, so off to the car we went. We needed to feed the babies first and though that we could feed the babies at the pizza place and feed ourselves at the same time, but somehow we ended up at Bahama Bob's again.  Ranita and I both didn't mind a repeat from the night before.  Then by the time we got back to the camper, the babies were asleep, The fish fry was that night, so we decided that we didn't have time to go to the pool by the time they woke up.  We were afraid that Andres and Shannon were going to be uspet with us since we never made it to the pool, but soon found out that they never made it to the beach or pool either.  They also went out to eat and to the outlets.  It is nice to travel with friends that are just as flexible as us.

We had some happy babies at the fish fry.  Ranita gave them some fish and they really liked it.

David wanted to go on a bike ride

David enjoyed being outside and his morning strolls so much that we decided to head off and buy a bicycle trailer that they both could ride in.  It was a success.
Our morning strolls are so relaxing

Just hanging around.  We found that Victoria and David didn't always sleep at the exact same time.
My new favorite toy

On Friday nights at the campground they have a movie night outside.  Victoria was already asleep, so she stayed with Grandmommy and Granddaddy.  David went with us to watch Alvin and the Chipmunks.

There was this seafood buffet that Ranita loved to eat at.  So off we headed to find when we drove up that it was no longer there.  I was so disappointed (not really since I don't eat seafood).  We  ended up going to the Oyster House again.
David found the hairbow...again.

We loved the pool at Gulf Shores State Park.

This was our last day to swin and play on the beach.  They liked to eat the sand a lot.

We tried to clean the sand off of David and he wasn't ready to be cleaned up.

Our time was coming to an end at the beach.  So we went to get one last set of pictures on the beach.

This sand is some good stuff

When we got back from the beach we had the NICU reunion.  It was really nice to see how everyone had grown.  We took a few pictures.
This is their friend Jackson who was in the NICU with them.

Whew...you made it.
