The next weekend we went back to Tuscaloosa to a basketball game. We won the game. Roll Tide! We were going to visit the quad, but it was raining, so we had to pass.
David loves to take care of Victoria. He will go get her a snack or a drink first and then go back for his. Or he will take her a toy or give her rides in thinks like a walking toy or laundry basket. But he does have a few toys that he refuses to let her touch. And they do have their time like in the Church nursery the other day when we got a report that they were fighting over a monkey and Victoria fell, hit a table and bled a little bit. We had a long lecture with the two of them about fighting ont he way home and the next morning on the way back to Church. However, overall they are very loving to each other and David is already being the big brother.
Let me get the door for you sis. |
Would you like a ride on the David Express? |
Mom, I am not sure why my food keeps growing and David's tray is empty. |
We also celebrated daddy's birthday. We helped mom cook a special breakfast for him.
Then we got to go to the Circus. We had a great time.
I am very proud of how much money I saved at the Circus. We had tickets for the 11 show. I packed a lunch for the babies and I also bought a special treat of cotton candy at the Dollar Tree as well as some glow stick wands. I spent $3 on the toys. We looked at prices when we were there. The light toys which they wanted until I brought theirs out were $20 each. We added it up. We would have spent $120 to get what we had for around $6 including the packed food. I was very excited about my savings.
January was a time that the babies got to experience many new things. We have had about 30 minutes of snow. David would walk to the edge of the driveway, look at the snow, turn around and back up to stand on the edge of the snow covered grass. Victoria just simply doesn't like the cold, but she allowed me to take a photo before she went back in. David warmed up to the idea of snow and enjoyed playing in it.
David is really into climbing up on everything. He decided he would try some table dancing at Grandmommy's house.
Now we did inform him that it was not ok for him to be on top of the table, but we had to get a picture first. Then the next place we found him was in the fridge. I guess all the table dancing made him hungry.
We were all playing one night and David decided to pack a bag and he was ready to go out. Our babies love to go out. Now the bag he backed consisted of a book and a stuffed dog and he wouldn't dare forget his monkey pacifier. He was ready to go.
Victoria is a Daddy's girl. This one particular night she refused to stay in bed. This is how we found her after her daddy finally gave in and went and got her. Tell me she doesn't have her daddy wrapped around her little finger. See that smile...she knew what she was doing.
The twins have started to help with the chores around the house. We all folded the clean clothes and went to put a load up and came back and they were still neatly folded and on the couch. They are llike little tornadoes. They can undo something so fast. It is unreal.
Getting a picture of the two of them looking at the same time and smiling is almost impossible. Here is the closest we got to an 18 month picture.
Victoria was excited. She was getting to go out until she found out it was her 18 month check up and a shot would be involved.
We had a good report at the 18 month check up. David now weighs 22 Pounds and is in the 10 percentile for weight but the 75th percentile for height. Victoria is 18 Pounds and 11 Ounces. She is in the 5th percentile which has come a long way from not even being on the chart. She is in the 10th percentile for height.
So we ended out January with getting a membership to the Y. It was a hard road to get that membership. The first time we went they were closed for MLK day. The 2nd time we went the fire alarm went off and we had to evacuate. But we got the membership and my favorite class so far is the warm water class. We are looking forward to what January has in store for us.
